Spice up your quiz with an element of luck into your pub quiz nights with the Pot Black quiz

• The quiz master reads out 30 quiz questions and teams complete their answers on two A5 sheets'
• Teams hand in one of their two answer copies to the quizmaster or swap with another team.
• The quizmaster then reads out the answers. Every other question is a 'red ball' question worth one mark. Every even question is a colour worth the points stated on the answer sheet.
• If a team gets the red ball question correct, they're able to go for the colour. If the red ball is wrong, their answer to the next colour question does not count.
• The winning team is the one with most total points plus you may want to give a prize for the highest break - a team with a large number of consecutive answers correct
• In the event of a tie or if no valid claims are made you get a tie-break question (or you can roll it over to the following week to ensure teams come back to play again)

For pubs and quizzes with a cash accumulator snowball, why not have a lucky draw at the end of the night - use 30 pieces of paper or bingo balls numbered 1-30.

Team that wins the snowball is the one with 4 or 5 of the winning numbers marked as their Lucky Lottery numbers.
